Thank you for your interest in serving with Modern Abolition.
Volunteering with us isn’t about filling a role or checking a box. It’s about showing up with presence, humility, and care—meeting young people where they are and walking with them toward hope, healing, and purpose.
Our volunteers serve alongside youth who are often overlooked or written off. Many have experienced trauma, instability, or involvement with the justice system. Because of that, we take this work seriously—and we support our volunteers every step of the way.
When you volunteer with Modern Abolition, you’re joining a community committed to:
- Building trust before expecting change
- Creating safe, consistent, and life-giving spaces
- Representing Jesus through love, patience, and integrity
Whether you’re mentoring, helping at events, supporting camps, or assisting behind the scenes, your presence matters more than perfection. You don’t need all the answers—you just need a willing heart and a commitment to show up.
We provide training, clear expectations, and ongoing support so that volunteers feel prepared, protected, and confident as they serve.
If you’re looking for a place to make a meaningful difference—one rooted in relationship, faith, and long-term impact—we’d be honored to serve alongside you.
***All volunteers serving with youth complete a screening and training process to ensure safe, healthy, and supportive environments.
